What a landscaping site needs

Before and after, from the same spot

A bare yard turned into a garden sells the job. Your best transformations go first.

A page per build

Retaining walls, paving, turf, reticulation and full designs are searched on their own. Each gets its own page.

Built for bigger projects

A full backyard takes planning. Your pages walk through how you work, from design to handover, so buyers trust you with it.

Perth conditions

Sand, sun and watering days. Show you know what grows here and how your reticulation works with the roster.

No prices, just how you quote

Size, levels, access and materials change the quote. We explain that, never a figure.

How people choose a landscaper

Landscaping is planned and often a big job, so people browse for a while before they ask for a quote.

New home owners

A bare block after the build. They want the whole yard done, start to finish.

Renovators

Updating a tired yard with new paving, turf, walls or a full redesign.

Busy owners and landlords

Garden care and tidy-ups, booked on turning up when you said you would.

Builders and developers

Front yards and landscape packages for new homes and display homes.

Each kind of project gets a page, and your Google Business Profile shows your best yards to people nearby.

Licences for the jobs that need them

There's no WA licence for landscaping itself, but some jobs around it need one. Weed spraying for pay needs a pest management licence. Mains-powered garden lighting needs a licensed electrical contractor. Connecting reticulation to the water supply, including the backflow valve, is plumbing work for a licensed plumber. Retaining walls holding back more than half a metre of soil, or tied to other building work or a neighbour's land, need a building permit. Your site only lists work you're licensed or set up to do, with the numbers on show. Waterwise Specialist and association badges go on while they're current.

Photos that sell landscaping work

Phone photos are fine. Here's what to shoot on your next few jobs.

  1. The bare yard on day one, shot wide from the back door
  2. The same spot at handover, then again once the plants fill in
  3. Retaining walls and steps side-on, so the levels show
  4. Paving close-ups: the edges, the cuts and the falls
  5. Garden lighting at dusk, if you install it

Questions landscapers ask us

Do I need a licence number on my site?

Not for landscaping itself. If you spray weeds for pay, wire mains garden lighting or connect retic to the water supply, those licences go on, and we only list work you're licensed for.

Can we say our gardens are waterwise?

Yes, if you're a Water Corporation Waterwise Specialist, or if you say what you really do, like the plants and drip lines you use. We won't use vague eco claims.

Can you use my design drawings?

Yes. A concept plan next to the finished yard is great proof, as long as the client's OK with it.

Should my site show project budgets?

We don't put figures on it. Your pages explain what drives the cost, like size, levels, access and materials.
